Claudia Zanaga was born in 1993 in a small town in province of Padova.
She degreed at the artistic high school A. Modigliani of Padova and continues her academic studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. She degreed in 2016, sculpture department, with prof. Giuseppe La Bruna.
Reflecting on universal and symbolic forms, she found in natural materials such as clay, wood and wax the mediums most relevant for the initial stages of her artistic research, generally using the human form as a departing point for her ideas.
After graduation she traveled around Europe, experimenting different disciplines and artistic fields. For istance in Berlin, where she collaborated with ZK/U, artist/research-residency. Here she got the opportunity to know and share with other international artists and face with the phenomenon of ‘the city’, in the multicultural district of Moabit.
In 2017 she decided to finish her Master degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, where she experienced to work with marble and found in it the most appropriate medium to give shape to her ideas. In 2018 she won the prize ‘Routes of sculpture’ and realized a public sculpture for the hospital in Pistoia.
She moved one year in Spain for the Erasmus at the Facultad de Bellas Artes, Politecnico de Valencia.
From 2021 Claudia Zanaga started to partecipate in many sculpture international symposiums. Her public works are exhibit in Italy, Croatia, France, Swizerland, Germany, Spain, Turkey.
She exposed in collective exhibition in Carrara, Milano, Venice, Turkey, France.
She lives and works in Carrara.
